Well today is the day we will determine our new president. I think this is the first election I have been really passionate about. In the past I have voted for the wrong reasons. Al Gore wore too much brown and had absolutely no fashion sense so George Bush got my vote. Then John Kerry looked like a weasel so again Bush got my vote. Dumb right? Looking back I know now I should have put more thought into my vote.

I think that is the problem today. Too many people vote for the wrong person for the wrong reasons. Oh well he says he’s going to take away my guns, or he says abortion is ok. On the abortion issue I dont think either one thinks its ok, one just believes that its a womans right to choose. This is a big issue for a lot of people. If you have children most believe that abortion is wrong. I have never condoned it, however I do not feel anyone, especially the government should be able to tell me what I can or can not do with my body. And guns, well I dont have a problem with people having them, however I do have a problem with a child shooting and killing their best friend b/c their parents are careless with the guns they do have in the household.

My biggest concern this year was the economy and healthcare. All I have heard from the McCain side is Obama is going to raise your taxes. Look at Joe the Plumber. UM, ok…Joe the Plumber is wanting to buy his business. If he earns more than 250,000 his taxes will go from 34 to 39%. Shouldnt someone that makes more than 250,000 a year pay more taxes than me who makes 30,000? Thats a no brainer really. And it is McCain that wants to raise my taxes. Any way you look at it if he is going to tax my employee based healthcare he is raising my taxes!!! Im sorry but I for one already pay waaaaaaaaaaaay more in than I ever were to think about getting back. I dont want to pay anymore. And the 5000 credit is a joke. All the credits we have on our taxes now do not make a damn bit of difference for me when I am filing my taxes.

George Bush has run our country into the ground. And those of us that voted him into office can take stake in what is going on. Had we not voted for him he wouldnt have gotten elected and we may be in a better position. Many do not like Clinton. I was one of them, however looking back take a look at our economy. It was doing better than it had in years. I actually got money back when I filed my taxes and at that time I had no dependants and worked for minimum wage.

So when you are off to the polls today really think about your choice. No matter who you vote for make sure you are voting for the right reasons. Do not vote for someone just b/c of the color of their skin or their gender. Hopefully you have really paid attention to what they are saying and realize what has been true or bogus political propaganda. I for one am voting for change b/c I am not ready for 4 more years of the same. I am ready for our economy to turn around. I want this to be a world my son can thrive, not one where we are on a spending freeze b/c the government has put us into a recession.

Think hard and vote smart!!!

Lets start off by giving the definition of Friendship.  Per WIkipedia,   ‘Friendship’ is a term used to denote co-operative and supportive behavior between two or more beings. In this sense, the term connotes a relationship which involves mutual knowledge, esteem, and affection and respect along with a degree of rendering service to friends in times of need or crisis. Friends will welcome each other’s company and exhibit loyalty towards each other, often to the point of altruism. Their tastes will usually be similar and may converge, and they will share enjoyable activities. They will also engage in mutually helping behavior, such as exchange of advice and the sharing of hardship. A friend is someone who may often demonstrate reciprocating and reflective behaviors. Yet for many, friendship is nothing more than the trust that someone or something will not harm them. Value that is found in friendships is often the result of a friend demonstrating the following on a consistent basis:

• the tendency to desire what is best for the other,
• sympathy and empathy,
• honesty, perhaps in situations where it may be difficult for others to speak the truth, especially in terms of pointing out the perceived faults of one’s counterpart
• mutual understanding.

That being said lets get into the topic at hand.  The friend code.  We all know it exists.  Its an unspoken set of rules that you abide by when you have a friend.  Some of the rules are sticky but some of them are down right self explainatory.  I’m going to go into my top two.  Feel free to comment on any that you feel are relevent and I will update the post with them!!!

1. Don’t throw your friend under the bus.  If you can honestly talk about your friend behind their back, make up stories to make them look bad and just be down right nasty about them when they are not around, THEY ARE NOT YOUR FRIEND!  It amazes me how many people call someone a friend when the minute they leave the room they’re bashing them like they’re a red headed step child. 

2. I don’t care how hot he is or how wonderful he is, YOU DO NOT DATE YOUR FRIENDS EX.  I dont even care how good a friend they are to you.  But this is a definate NO NO.  Not only are they their sloppy seconds, but you’ve seen the heartache this person put your BFF thru then you turn around and date them?  Do you think they’re going to be any different to you?  And not to mention this leaves you wide open for them to date your ex as well.  And you cant be upset about it!  You have no right to get mad at them for doing the same thing you are doing.  Do unto others as you would have done unto you.  Always remember that!

Friendship can make your life more complete and more well rounded.  It can also cause you unnecessary heartache.  You will never know a true friend until they are either there for you or not in a crisis or if they’ve done either of the above two things to you they’re not your friend and you are better off without them.  Take the friendships that you know are real friends and cherish them.  Life is too short to waste time on people that do not deserve it!

Ok I have seen a couple of these on the road lately and they crack me up! They are called the Smart Fortwo.

They get an impressive 41MPG on the highway and over 30 in town. With a 70HP, 3CYL engine what more could you want?

How about a place to put your groceries…or your children? What are u supposed to do, strap them to the roof? ROFLMAO!

This is just so funny to me. This car is great if you are 100lbs and 5 feet tall. However they do make a convertable model! Guess if you are tall you can just take the top down and ride around in your clown suit!

This car sells for less than $12,000. I’m thinking with the price of gas still on the rise we’re going to see a lot more of them on the roads!

I for one will keep my SUV that gets 25MPG and just deal with the gas prices!

Riding my high horse keeps me too busy to go buy post it notes these days…But heres a picture of the ones I would buy.  Ahhhh cant you see your self writing useless info on those and sticking them all over your desk.  Did you know the invention of the post it note was from a failed invention of a super stong adhesive by a 3M employee? 

OK so while sitting in the McDonald’s drive thru last night picking dinner up for the family I noticed a sign on the window that read, “Braile and Picture menus available.” Now if you’re like me your thinking if a person is blind how are they going to read that sign? LMFAO.

So I arrived home and told my husband about my little discovery and he said well even more why would a blind person be driving a car through the drive thru in the first place?

So then we started talking about the next part of the sign. The picture menu. These are designed for individuals that cannot read. Ok if you cannot read then how are you going to read that sign to know that they have picture menus?

So in short I find this sign to be not only amusing but pointless. Whoever thought of that needs to be fired! Do not pass go! Do not collect $200!!!
