Well I could sit around and make resolutions till Im blue in the face but in the past they’ve never came true.  LOL.  There are things I would like to happen in 2009, u know the usual, loose weight, have more money, get stuff paid off.  LOL.  but who doesnt want that stuff. 

The main thing I would like is to be a better person, a better wife, a better mother.  I dont think these are ever things you are finished with.  You always have room for self improvement.  Anyone that thinks they are perfect is off their rocker.  No one has the perfect life.  It may look perfect from the outside but its not.  Nothing in this world is perfect.  However no matter how bad things get for you on a particular day there is always someone out there that has it worse. 

In the new year, be thankful for the things you have and not long for the things you don’t. Life is what you make of it and karma does come around.  If you are good to others and treat people the way you would want them to treat you things will happen for you.  If you are a mean and hateful person that does everything to spite everyone else you will learn fast that you are going to get the short end of the stick.

Be happy and try to enjoy life to the fullest.  Life is too short to live it being mean and nasty.

So my husband is a big advocate of this but since when did we start using MySpace to vent our frustrations on other people?  It has become more and more that people are using this as a way to let someone else know that they are pissed off at them.  I am guilty of this myself.  However, I have tried to be better about it and not used the space to attack others. 

I wonder where the times have gone where if you have a problem with someone you just tell them.  Not attack them on your myspace or in your blog or whatever.  However if the person already knows you have a problem with them more power to you if you want to air your dirty laundry for all to see.

While it is different to just change your mood to whatever thats what you are feeling at the time but to call someone out in what you can type in the status box is just silly and not to mention something we might have done in middle school. 

My husband is on the verge of deleting his myspace due to this, while I find that silly I have started to see his point.  More and more every day it seems to be getting worse and worse.  I understand that people have to vent and they are using their myspace to do that, however some really need to practice seeing the glass half full and post about that.  Maybe you got a new sweater that day…how about you share that with the world not what a bitch so and so is. 

Ok thats my rant.  LOL.  Not that anyone is going to listen though!  LOL

Ok I did think this season of the hills was better than last, however I am beginning to wonder if this show has run its course.  I mean next season will probably be all about Heidi and Spencer planning their wedding.  And some of the stuff just doesnt seem realistic anymore.  Like you read in the magazines that Lauren is starting her own fashion line and what not but on the show she’s still working for someone else and going to school.  Obviously the show isnt too far behind since the sham mexico wedding took place on November 20th. 

There was lots of drama as promised between Audrina and Lauren.  I still think that LO caused a lot of the beginning drama and then I’m sure Spencer’s crew started the Justin Bobby rumor.  That was hilarious. 

But all in all I guess this season was ok.   It was nice to see Lauren and Heidi get to talk civilally on the last episode. I think the previews of The City make it look pretty boring so Im not sure if I will watch that or not.

Well a couple of weeks ago the hubby and I made the decision that I would go to nights and keep the baby home with me during the day to save on daycare costs.  It saves us roughly $400 a month.  I think with the economy the way it is we are not the only ones making this change. 

So far so good.  We have a pretty good little boy that is on a schedule so he allows for nap times and things like that and does not cause too much ruckus during the day. 

Im lucky that I have a job that allows a flexible schedule.  Right now Im loving working at night.  I do not have to deal with the daily drama and BS that comes with working in an office full of women.  That sounds horrible but its true.  While I cant say that I never participated in it, its easier to keep your nose clean if you are not even there to be involved in the first place!  The night shift is not only a relaxing invironment but its made me come to realize how lucky I am to have the job that I have.  Before switching I was thinking daily I was just going to walk out!

I hated to have to take the little one out of daycare but you gotta do what you gotta do and once its time for pre-school he’ll go back.  I did not get the standard 6wks with him due to having to return to work early and hubby was home with him for the first 3mo so I feel like I missed a lot.  Now its time for me to catch up!

So moral of the story is if you have a job that allows you to work nights take the opportunity!  You might find that you love it and it will enable you to be a better wife and mother in the process!!!

Ok I will admit, I bawled like a big ole baby during One Tree Hill tonight.  Anyone who doesn’t find death sad, whether it be a fictional character or not, has some issues and needs to get therapy!  LOL.  JK. 

Anyways, one of the characters who was really working on turning his life around was shot just b/c he was in the wrong place at the wrong time.  It makes you realize that life is way too short and things can change in an instance!

Of course I cry whenever something like that happens.  I am extremely saddend by death…more so since I lost my mom in 2005.  Before that sure it was sad, but since then everytime I even think of death I cant help but remember how I felt on that day.  No matter who surrounds you during that time you feel completely alone.  Nothing anyone says helps or makes you feel any better about the situation. 

Tonights One Tree Hill reminded me that death is a part of life.  No matter how much you dont want to think about it.  You’re loved ones are going to leave your life.  Maybe not always thru death but one way or another you may loose friends, family members, or just random aquaintances. 

We spend so much time getting caught up in the day to day that we really dont stop to think that we may not have a tomorrow.  Too many times we take for granted that we’re going to wake up the next day and things are just going to be just as we were when we went to sleep the night before.  Be thankful for the things you have in life.  Life each moment to the fullest.  Do not take those for granted that mean the most to you.  Do not put yourself in situations that you will regret later. 

If you are reading this remember you’re life can change in an instant.  What may be today may not be tomorrow.  Love until your heart feels as it may burst and laugh until you pee your pants!!!

Everyone has heard the saying “Karma’s a bitch,” and if you watch NBC most of you have probably seen the show “My Name is Earl.” A lot of emphasis has been put on Karma in the past couple of years since the debut of that show. The gist of it was he believed that he was hit by that car after learning he won the lottery to pay him back for all of the things he did to other people.

I must say that if you do not believe in karma you’re a fool. Usually things come back ten fold. Next time you’re bad mouthing someone or making comments you shouldnt be aware that those comments will eventually come back to you and you will have to answer for them.

We all gossip, we all repeat things that we were told. Its human nature. But when the things that were said come back to you it’s not smart to say you never said that or you didn’t do that. If the person is close to you and knows the type of person that you are they’re going to know that you are lying. It sucks when someone repeats something you have told them doesn’t it?

Its hard for a person to maintain friendships if those friendships are based on lies and talking about others. Many people, while they enjoy the gossip, will not enjoy when you turn it on them and they become your next target. There are people in this world that think they are exempt to karma and the ways of the world. They think they deserve everything handed to them and everyone should bow down to them. If life were that easy none of us would have problems would we?

So before you have your next hen party, think about karma and what you are truly doing to others by the things you are saying. Life will be pretty lonely when you are left all by yourself because you have pushed everyone away from you with your actions. It’s all fun and games until hurtful comments get back to those you made them about. Life is what you make it. Make it great!
